From Hertford Town, take the A414 to Hatfield, and head South on the A1 under the Hatfield tunnel.
Exit just after the tunnel and head West towards St Albans on the A414.
Follow signs to St Albans - approaching along London Road past signs to the station and up the hill.
At the lights at the top of the hill go straight across into the High St.
After 100 yds fork left down the ancient Fishpool St. The Lower Red Lion Pub is halfway down the hill on the right.
