JetCam Bollard

The JetCam Bollard range of cameras offer optimum performance for access control systems 24 hours a day in varying lighting and weather conditions. The housing provides a mounting for the ANPR camera at approximately the same height as front car plates, reducing the issues with line of sight problems such as tailgating or queuing traffic.

The cameras are designed to work with the Infra Red retro reflective properties of number plates. The lighting and filtering technologies employed overcome issues associated with traditional CCTV cameras such as headlight glare.

The bollard should be mounted on a concrete plinth with minimum dimensions 400mm x 400mm. The recommended depth of concrete is 350mm with a maximum of 200mm above road surface to allow for optimum camera / vehicle number plate alignment.

The cable ducting or conduit should be in a central position of the plinth to allow the cabling to enter the bollard base section through its centre hole. The mains supply is typically run in 20mm SWA cable and coaxial cable is typically in RG11/CT125.

It is recommended that the coaxial cables be terminated into RG59 at each end. Preferably a 5Amp fused spur would be fitted inside the bollard which should be connected to the mains terminals of the bollard
using flexible mains cable. An earth stud is located at the top of the lower casing.

The bollard casing is in three parts to aid installation: the base plate, housing and lid. The housing and base plate are attached with five tamper proof screws.

The base plate has two pre-cut arced slots to allow for alignment of the bollard and two M10 x 11mm anchor bolts hold it in place. The IR ANPR camera is located in the housing section and is fitted with a hinged bracket to allow camera tilt if necessary.
