JetBase is an advanced image database management system that has wide appeal for cctv users in applications such as car parks, high security sites etc. and has many user advantages over conventional cctv systems. The system is fully interactive and can provide audible and visual alerts with ‘action messages’ for staff and security operators. It is also ideal for car park Access Control and can open barriers or control LED displays for enrolled / hostile vehicles. In addition SMS messages can be sent in real time.
The system works well in barrier situations - but works equally well with fast moving traffic past a camera - provided that the camera can adequately cover the traffic lane. (See Technical section for traffic speed and camera lens selection guidelines) The program consists of two parts: JetBase Live and JetBase Review.
JetBase Live is the heart of the ANPR system - it monitors traffic via ANPR cameras in real time and logs any passing vehicles. It uses an inbuilt proprietary database to look up any registration numbers as the vehicle approaches and displays any driver information available - e.g. Name of Driver, Make and Model of Car, Colour of Car, Special Instructions for the guard - e.g. Check Pass etc. - as each vehicle approaches.
The system uses an ANPR camera (see cameras section) to record the plate patch (the photographic image of the located number plate) - but in addition, the system can record colour overview images of the car, driver etc. taken by the system at the same time that the plate is captured. More than one overview camera can be assigned to each ANPR camera.
This is very useful for checking car drivers later - or the make and model of a vehicle in case a false plate is used.

A database of users / employees may be generated in say Excel or Access and imported to JetBase for usage.

JetBase Review is a separate database enquiry program and is used to look back through the history files produced by JetBase Live.
The user can view the details of all the vehicles logged by the system (e.g. entering / exiting a car park, passing an industrial estate, arriving at a depot). The data is stored in date order by lane and simply by clicking on any of the number plate details the user can view the recorded images of the vehicle. (including the colour overview / side images).
A powerful search facility is included which facilitates the searching of vehicle movements by:
- Date range - e.g. all cars leaving between June 10th and June 21st.
- Time range - e.g. all cars entering daily between 10 and 11am.
- Lane Number - e.g. all cars entering car park 3 on lane 2.
- Plate Search - e.g. all plates beginning with a "W"
- Plate Search - e.g. all plates containing an "NN"
- User Category - e.g. all contractors entering the site
- Global Field Search - e.g. all suspects called "John" who drive a Honda
- etc.
The log file - or resulting search file may be exported - with or without images - to any standard third party database package in CSV form for further processing.
