CITYSYNC AWARDED HAND-HELD ANPR PATENT
CitySync have finally been granted the patent for the invention of a
Hand-Held Automatic Number Plate Recognition System.
The application was filed back in March 2001 and although it has been contended many times by our competitors the
patent was granted on December 29th
2004.
"The timing of this is excellent .. " said Lawson Noble, CitySync's Chief Technology Officer. "with the latest developments in mobile device processors we felt able to port the new Mk III 2005 ANPR Engine to both PDAs and the latest mobile phones resulting at last in true ANPR in your pocket."
CitySync will be launching the new JetMate range at the forthcoming Traffic, Parking and Security shows at the NEC in April and May.
