Town Centres

A large number of town centres throughout the UK have been provided with funds to upgrade their CCTV systems to ANPR.  Working closely with the police, many town centres now have the ability to continually monitor traffic from various locations.  Existing colour/mono CCTV cameras are utilised, choosing cameras which can be set to ANPR mode (zooming to a preset position and setting to a high shutter speed).  Accuracy is not as high as using JetCam IR cameras  - but our current installations estimate recognition using this method to be 85-90% or greater.
