case study 1

University Site

A large university in the UK is using the Jet ANPR system to manage their car parking spaces.  The system is used to automatically allow entry to authorised staff, buses running between sites, pre-booked visitors and authorised students.  No unauthorised vehicles are allowed on site without being manually checked first.  This site controls barriers, counts the number of vehicles in car parks, and allows a guard within a small booth located quite some distance from the control room to determine if vehicles are authorised and who the driver should be as and when they arrive.  Staff members are allocated an amount of car park usage per year which is reflected within their salaries.  The Jet ANPR system is capable of determining if staff are using the car park to their full quota, allowing staff to detect if they should be entitled to a rebate.
